Coronavirus related changes

As of May 1st 2020 we are back on a normal work schedule. We are fully staffed and operational, orders are being fulfilled one business day after being received. 

We are lucky to live in a state (Utah) with a low infection rate and a low number of restrictions so it is pretty much business as usual for us. 

Thankfully none of our employees have been sick with coronavirus. If someone has something minor like a cold or something with similar symptoms they must stay home until they can get tested for Covid and receive a negative result, this usually seems to take about a week. This effectively means that any illness can be disruptive and reduce our workforce similarly to if someone actually has coronavirus. When this happens, other people will step up and put in the extra hours to ensure that there are minimal delays in production. Though we have experienced occasional delays of 1 day on some orders due to employees missing work due to illness. In short, the present circumstances create unique challenges but we are doing everything we can to ensure that our customers get the same product, service, and turn-around time they have grown to expect from Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts. The mantra seems to be "When things get hard, work harder" 

We are of course not only concerned with productivity, we are also concerned with the health and safety of our employees. For that reason, we are following guidelines of sanitation and maintaining personal distances of 6 feet. As well as requiring employees to stay home if they are sick while still ensuring that they receive the appropriate sick pay.
