Measuring Your Chevrolet/GMC 4 Wheel Drive Truck, Blazer, Denali and Suburban Drive Shafts

Chevrolet and GMC have used several different drive shafts from the factory over the years. Please follow the below information and/or our measuring guide to help determine which drive shaft you will need.

Front Drive Shafts

Type A drive shaft with standard spline

Figure 1: Type A drive shaft with standard spline $299.00 with X spline, $319.00 using 1310 series u-joints. Measure as per Figure 5.

Figure 2: Type A drive shaft with flange at C.V. end with standard spline $349.00 with X spline, $369.00 using 1310 series u-joints. Measure as per Figure 6.

Type B drive shaft with standard spline

Figure 3: Type B drive shaft with standard spline $219.00 with X spline, $239.00 using 1310 series u-joints. Measure as per Figure 5.

Type B drive shaft with flange and 3R series u-joints with standard spline

Figure 4: Type B drive shaft with flange and 3R series u-joints with standard spline, $309.00 with X spline $329.00. Measure as per Figure 6.

Figure 9: If Figure 8 is correct, this figure shows the original drive shaft and the replacement drive shaft we offer.

The replacement drive shaft is $559.00.

REAR DRIVE SHAFTS

Please note we cannot build drive shafts longer than 75” also, we do not build Aluminum or build and balance 2 Piece type drive shafts with the carrier bearing.

STOCK EXAMPLES

Figure 11: Type B Drive shaft. Prices start at $289.00 using 1310 series u-joints. If using different size u-joints call for price.

Figure 12: Type C Drive shaft (with reverse slip yoke, female). Prices start at $319.00 using 1310 series u-joints. If using different size u-joints call for price.

Once you have measurements and dimensions call for price.
