Shipping policy

Almost all orders placed by 5:00 MST will ship the following business day, though due to an abnormally high order volume some orders will ship 2 business days after the order is received. See the map below for transit times.

Free UPS Ground shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states on any order over $200. $10 shipping on orders less than $200. If you need faster shipping or don't see the options you need, please call us. 

Because of the increased likelihood of incorrect delivery when delivering to unit numbers (eg apartment, suite, building, or lot numbers) packages sent to unit numbers will be sent signature required. This means that the package will not be delivered unless someone is present to sign for it. For all other packages, signature required shipping is not required.

If a package is sent without signature required and it is lost or stolen, we are not responsible for the loss. We recommend that all customers have their packages sent to a safe and secure location. If you are concerned about the package being lost or stolen, you should request that it be shipped signature required.

International Shipping Policy

At this time, we only offer direct international shipping to customers in Canada. We no longer ship directly to other countries or APO addresses outside of the United States.

If you are located outside of the U.S. or Canada, you may still place an order by using a U.S.-based freight forwarder. In this case, our responsibility ends once the product is successfully delivered to the freight forwarder’s address. Any issues or losses that occur after that point are between the customer and their freight forwarding service.

We also work with a small number of established international resellers in select countries who are experienced in handling these types of shipments. If you are located outside of the U.S. or Canada and are interested in purchasing our products, please check our dealer map for an approved vendor in your country. 

 

Lost or Delayed Package Policy

At Tom Wood’s Drive Shafts, we build and ship each drive shaft with precision and care, and we rely on trusted carriers like UPS to deliver your order safely and on time. However, shipping delays or tracking issues can occasionally occur once a package is in transit.

If your package appears delayed:

  • Please allow up to 5 full business days from the last tracking scan before we take further action. You may contact us before 5 days to let us know that there is a delay or potential lost package. 

  • During this time, we will monitor the shipment and may initiate a trace with the carrier.

  • Most packages that appear stalled are recovered and delivered within this window.

If your package is confirmed lost:

  • Once a package is officially deemed lost by the carrier, we will file a claim and arrange a resolution, which may include building and shipping a replacement.

If you cannot wait for the lost package process and need a replacement sooner:

  • You may purchase a replacement at full retail price, which we consider a security deposit.

  • If the original package is eventually delivered, we will provide a prepaid return label. Once we receive the original item in unused condition, we will issue a full refund for the deposit/replacement.

  • If the package is declared lost by UPS, we will also issue a full refund for the deposit/replacement.

  • If expedited shipping is requested for the replacement, the customer is responsible for that cost.
