Replace your worn out cv centering ball with a new socket flange. When the old center ball wears out, it is almost impossible to get the old ball kit out. With this you don't have to worry about removing the old ball and seat, just replace the whole thing and you're done!
Our socket flanges are made from steel, so they are stronger than traditional cast iron flanges. Another important benefit is that our flanges have a grease fitting. Grease is the key to keeping these center balls from wearing out. With other non-greaseable socket flanges there is no way of extending the life of the parts through grease and maintenance.
These flanges are manufactured exclusively for Tom Wood's so you're not going to find this level of quality anywhere else!
We have multiple different flange patterns, make sure you select the right flange pattern for your application. If you can't find the one you are looking for give us a call, we probably have it.
Spot faces had excessive chatter marks and machined edges not deburred, was expecting better for the price.
This was exactly what I needed for my 2000 limited 4runner. Seemed to be quality, fitment was great.
Pulled older TW drive shaft from 2012 reg cab tacoma to replace u joints. Found out the centering ball was worn due to lack of grease ( I just got the truck). Couldn't find parts I needed, called TW and had a nice talk, found out they offered this flange, had them next day air and the next evening I installed and was back of the road. Perfect fit
I received my order in a timely manner in Ontario,Canada with no issues. The product was wrapped and protected perfectly with proper paper work for install, QC and service. They also threw in some cool decals which I wasted no time sticking on the Jeep. The socket flange was installed with the double Cardin ball as described with grease port as well. Everything went together as hoped and has now made my TJ drive like new with no vibration around 70km/h like in the past as well as deceleration vibration and rattle at low speeds. Tom woods is the man and I will be ordering a complete front drive shaft this winter ounce the Jeep goes into storage. I highly recommend this product. Just be sure you have the rubicon transfer case. 🤙🏼
Very happy. Was able to swap my tcase to flanges and easily convert my double cardan joint to accommodate.
