Toyota FJ Cruiser CV Drive Shaft

This is what you need if your Toyota FJ Cruiser is lifted and you are experiencing vibrations due to increased angles. Also a great upgrade for vehicles that came with a stock double cardan drive shaft. Can be ordered for the front or rear of your FJ Cruiser. This will not work for any Toyota trucks that have a solid axle swap (SAS). If you have an SAS or something else that is creating a unique set of problems give us a call for more info.

Toyota drive shaft lengths vary. In our experience there is no single standard length. To ensure that you get the right thing you will need to take a measurement before ordering your drive shaft. You need to measure the distance from your transfer case flange to your differential flange.

Key product features

  • Uses 1310 series universal joints. These are the most common size of u-joint there is. Replacement joints are much easier to find than stock Toyota style joints.
  • Shaft uses 2" diameter .120" wall DOM steel tubing. Better quality and thicker tubing than stock Toyota shafts use.
  • Can be built using our greaseable Goldseal universal joints or non-greaseable  joints.
  • Your choice of spline and slip yoke options, more about that here.
  • Includes 8 new 10mm bolts and nuts which may be required at either end of the shaft.

If you have any questions give us a call.

Watch this video for a demonstration on measuring. The vehicle in the video is a Tacoma but the concept is the same for any Toyota.

Didn't know I NEEEDED IT!

Only needed the rear but got front just incase new one over powered old one. upon engaging in too low or high 4 its crawls with more power on its own. Took obstacles even easier than it did with the old beat up ones. Great products and services.

The Good All FJ
I ordered stuff for my wife..and got a Tom Woods Shaft

Well, it seems that the Manuel transmission FJ has upgraded its shafts. The ride is smooth and now I know my transmissions do not have much stress.

If you're thinking on getting new shafts, go with this guys. It will take:
- A measuring tape
- Measuring Caliper
- Piece of carboard or wife's yoga matt
- Pen and paper to annotate measurements
- Flashlight

Once you get all that, place your order and within a week and a half (at least for Ontario, Canada) you'll get your Shafts.

Literally, the Kiss Principle they Keep it Simple Stupid.

Thank you very much.
