Toyota CV Drive Shaft
This is what you need if your Toyota is lifted and you are experiencing vibrations due to increased angles. Also a great upgrade for Toyota that came with a stock double cardan drive shaft. This will not work for any Toyota trucks that have a solid axle swap (SAS). This is also only for vehicles with a drive shaft length of 40" or less. For shafts longer than 40", look here. If your shaft length is less than 19.75" you will have to select the S spline. If you have an SAS or something else that is creating a unique set of problems give us a call for more info.
Toyota drive shaft lengths and flange patterns vary. In our experience there is no single standard length or flange patterns for any particular model. To ensure that you get the right thing you will need to take a couple measurements before ordering your drive shaft. You need to measure the distance from your transfer case flange to your differential flange. You will also need to measure the bolt pattern at each end. It is important that you measure the bolt pattern on each end because they are often not the same at both ends.
Key product features
- Uses 1310 series universal joints. These are the most common size of u-joint there is. Replacement joints are much easier to find than stock Toyota style joints.
- Shaft uses 2" diameter .120" wall DOM steel tubing. Better quality and thicker tubing than stock Toyota shafts use.
- Can be built using our greaseable Goldseal universal joints or non-greaseable Spicer joints.
- Includes 8 new 10mm bolts and nuts which may be required at either end of the shaft.

Watch this video for a demonstration on measuring. The vehicle in the video is a Tacoma but the concept is the same for any Toyota.
I am totally blown away with awesome service, received my driveshaft in a week from ordering.
Driveshaft fit great easy bolt into my FJ40.
Great company to deal with.
Recommended to any needing a driveshaft.
I purchased a rear Double-Cardan Driveshaft for my 80 Series Land Cruiser, after the lift I installed revealed wear on the original's splines and created some shimmy in the driveline. The OEM rear DS is no longer available and the options I found through typical parts stores seemed inferior in construction, and the wall thickness of the tube from the ones I looked at was ridiculously thin. Since I use my rig off road, this was really concerning. For a minimal amount more, I received an American-made driveshaft from Tom Wood's in a few days that was custom-built, fit perfectly, has thicker tubing the the OEM DS, and eliminated the vibration issues I was having from 25 years of wear on the original. I elected for greasable joints because I do the standard maintenance, and standard 1310 U joints, so if I ever have an issue with them they will be easier to replace. These guys think of everything because they are enthusiasts, and the pride of workmanship is evident. Thank you for making such high quality products! I'll be in touch when it's time to replace the front DS.
Bought this for my sas second gen. Kit perfect and the quality is top notch. Ordered and received in less then two weeks. I am very happy with my driveline
I've a lifted Land Cruiser 80 and was getting crazy drivetrain vibes. Sent in my custom measurements and got a new shaft to my door in few days! Construction was too notch and mating surfaces were flat and true. Install was simple and vibes have been resolved!
Great product and customer service.
