Super Flex U-Joint
The unique design of off-set trunnions sets the mating yokes farther apart than a more conventional joint. This allows for 10 degrees more flexibility than would be otherwise obtainable. While 10 degrees may not sound like a lot, with a 30″ drive shaft, this will allow more than 5″ of additional droop at your axle prior to binding of the universal joint.
Available in 1310, 1350, and 1410 series.
IMPORTANT: THIS JOINT WILL CAUSE DRIVE SHAFT VIBRATIONS. It is not compatible with double cardan (cv) assemblies. It should not be used at high speeds.
These ujoints are great for offroaders with sever driveline angles. No more binding and breaking parts. I use four of them on my buggy and love them!
I bought two of these as trail repair parts. Like insurance you hope to never need it. But I pack these on my trail rides.
Finally figured out a cheap alternative to my SAS 12" lifted yukon. Paired with a high angle flange yoke. No more binding
If you have a drive shaft angle problem. These are awesome. But, no other review said anything about what hp they are good for. If you have a stock low hp vehicle can see these being great and no issues. But add a little power in and they tend to break. I’ve been through 3 in the last 3 outings with the rig. If you want to run on a mud truck or anything that puts abuse to them, fix the angle don’t try to bandaid like I did. Overall good ujoint if all else fails or you need something quick. But a little expensive for only a few minutes of fun
Mounted mine at the top of a front driveshaft with a carrier bearing set up. I can't go over 18mph without the joint vibrating my buggy so bad it shakes the entire thing.
