JK Front Drive Shaft, 1310 Series
Jeep JK front drive shaft noise. . . it is a common problem and is inevitable on nearly all lifted Jeep JK Wranglers. It comes down to the design. The stock drive shafts use Rzeppa type CV joints that were designed only to work in stock Jeeps. Two or three inches of lift is enough to cause these CV joints to fail (watch the video below). JK drive shaft rebuild kits just don't cut it. That is why almost all JK drive shaft replacements are upgraded to a double cardan design (a double cardan is also commonly referred to as a cv). The double cardan shaft will handle the angles that your stock drive shaft can not. The double cardan drive shaft is a time tested design that has proven itself in thousands of other Jeeps.
Tom Wood's 1310 series JK front shaft comes with the required output yoke for the transfer case and will bolt directly to your stock pinion flange. If you don't have stock flanges at both the transfer case and axle currently this shaft may not work and you should call us for more information.

Ordered custom length driveshaft for my lifted JKU. Only took a fee days to get. Very happy with fit & quality.
I have a 2016 JK 2 door with 3” lift, this front driveshaft is double if not slightly more heavier than the junk OEM one. Have them my measurements and it fits perfect no extra no less. I wheeled it over the weekend and it did just as good as before but without clunking and binding like my worn out OEM one did. Very good customer service as I called and someone picked up within 5-10 seconds and was quick and easy. Very good quality driveshaft, will be back for my rear in the near future!
I have a 4Dr JK 2009 updated with the 6.4L 392 Hemi, and it needed a new front drive shaft, as the geometry changed with the new engine. This company works fast an efficient, in less than a week from the moment I had my order I had the driveshaft on my doorway and the install was relatively straight forward. Highly recommended.
My front driveshaft was going bad and having some major noises and vibrations from having a lift and 35s so I ordered the Tom Woods 1310 and it feels so much more solid and drives amazing now. This will be the first mod I do on any Jeep I have from now on because Jeep puts in some shoddy driveshafts that don’t last. This thing is quality and heavy duty
From 1999-2006 I competed professionally in extreme rock crawling, and Tom Woods was my sponsor. I was not only provided the best driveshafts on the planet, but was always treated like a rock star. I guess the testament to the quality of a product is, would you still purchase it if you were not a sponsored driver. My answer was an absolute yes! We never had a failure during our years competing, and there is no other driveshaft I would run on my rig now. Thank you, Tom and everyone associated with your daily operations for a superior product and fantastic customer service. The front driveline I purchased, with 1350 greaseable u-joints, fit perfect and installed with ease! I will be ordering a rear replacement very soon!
