JK Jeep Front Drive Shaft Options
JK Front Drive Shaft
We custom build all drive shafts to order and, although we can build some drive shafts by application it is certainly best to take a measurement so the drive shaft is built to fit.
The length measurement can be taken with or without the stock drive shaft installed. Measurement is best taken with the vehicle parked on flat ground at normal ride height. Measure from approximately center height (the 3 or 9 0’clock positions) for the best measurement.
Need help deciding which drive shaft is right for you?
If your drive shaft is not properly sized for the tire diameter and differential gear ratio along with how and where you drive, you could experience problems with breaking the universal joints or other components in the drive shaft. We don’t want you to have problems.
The following is our suggestion, which requires you to be honest with yourself about where and how you drive.
If you find yourself in the "either zone" but want to save a little money, consider this compromise. Run a 1350 on the rear and the 1310 series on the front. Some compromise can be made on the front drive shaft because when the vehicle is climbing a hill where there is more load on your drive train, the weight of the vehicle tends to transfer towards the rear and the front drive shaft is typically less loaded. We have created slightly different charts for both front and rear shaft recommendations.
If you have aftermarket axles or are not currently running stock drive shafts, we can build drive shafts in almost any configuration you need or want. Below are our standard stock shaft replacement packages. When replacing stock JK drive shafts, we believe the drive shaft packages below to be the best design. If you want to purchase a JK product not listed on our store you will need to call to place the order.

JK Drive Shaft Installation
Watch the video below for installation procedures. This video is a couple years old, there are two important things to note about this video. The front drive shaft design has been improved, it no longer requires that you replace the front pinion flange. The promo code at the end of the video has expired. The terms of the discount are in the YouTube video description but did not make it into the video itself. Sorry in advance for the let down.
