JK Rear Drive Shaft, 1350 Series
Jeep JK drive shaft noise. . . it is a common problem and is inevitable on nearly all lifted Jeep JK Wranglers. It comes down to the design. The stock drive shafts use Rzeppa CV joints that were designed only to work in stock Jeeps. Just a few inches of lift is enough to cause these CV joints to fail (watch the video below). JK drive shaft rebuild kits just don't cut it. That is why almost all JK drive shaft replacements are upgraded to a double cardan design (a double cardan is also commonly called a cv). This shaft will handle the angles that your stock drive shaft can not. The double cardan drive shaft is a time tested design that has proven itself in thousands of other Jeeps.
Tom Wood's 1350 series JK rear shaft comes with the required output yoke for the transfer case and the required pinion flange.
If you have a suspension lift, you may need to rotate the differential for the CV type drive shaft. This is typically done with adjustable control arms. Pinion should be approximately 1 to 3 degree’s lower than the slope of the drive shaft.

The drive shaft fit my jeep perfectly, craftsmanship and finish was excellent 👍 highly recommended this product to anyone...
Excellent product. Even better tech support for custom lengths. I have front and rear 1350s on 2012 Jk 2dr with 9” of suspension lift. Definitely heavy duty.
2014 JKU Rubicon. Front and rear 1350’s, easy install with the correct tools. Quick drive around the neighborhood and couldn’t be happier. Looking forward to actually putting them into action soon.
2016 JKU Rubicon. Put in the front 1350 a couple years ago with the MC 4.5 gamechanger. Ripped boot on the rear this year on the Dusy, so decided to move the evap canister and get the rear 1350 Tom Woods. Ordered on a Tuesday, delivered in CA by Friday noon. Installed in a couple hours on Saturday. I called to verify the measurement. Super helpful guy talked to me for a few minutes about the install. I was concerned about the crush seal talk I'd heard on youtube, but torque to 160 and your're good. The install was very easy, just takes time to get those little 8mm bolts out of the stock shafts. I used an impact gun and destroyed a couple of chinese sockets, but easier than by hand. The nut on my transfer case and diff were different sizes. Be ready for that. Otherwise super simple. Seems to be balanced well, no issues. Love that I have front and rear now. One less thing to worry about.
Ordered a 1350 rear shaft for a JKU. Quick shipping. Seems to be very well made. Instructions were easy to follow and so was the install. Jeep seems quieter driving down the road now and no pop when I take off from a stop (factory shaft was gettin a little loose).
