Toyota 4runner CV Rear Drive Shaft

This is what you need if your Toyota 4 Runner is lifted and you are experiencing vibrations due to increased angles. Also a great upgrade for Toyota that came with a stock double cardan drive shaft. This is a rear shaft only and can be made any length you need from 35" to 50" long. If you are looking for a front shaft look here. If you can't find exactly what you are looking for, give us a call.

Toyota drive shaft lengths and flange patterns vary. In our experience there is no single standard length or flange patterns for any particular model. To ensure that you get the right thing you will need to take a couple measurements before ordering your drive shaft. You need to measure the distance from your transfer case flange to your differential flange. You will also need to measure the bolt pattern at each end. It is important that you measure the bolt pattern on each end because they are often not the same at both ends.

Key product features

  • Uses 1310 series universal joints. These are the most common size of u-joint there is. Replacement joints are much easier to find than stock Toyota style joints.
  • Shaft uses 2.5" diameter .083" wall DOM steel tubing. Better quality tubing than stock Toyota shafts use.
  • Can be built using our greaseable Goldseal universal joints or non-greaseable  joints.
  • Includes 8 new 10mm bolts and nuts which may be required at either end of the shaft.

Nice Work!

Helped me nail down the crazy mystery squalling noise I was hearing... from my worn out Double-Cardan. New shaft arrived quick, looked great, bolted right as it should and worked flawlessly. Great guidance on setting the optimal angles.

Just got 4runner back for my daughter, excellent product, and our mechanics said no issues during install.
You can really tell the difference, the vibration is gone. the original DS snapped off the diff causing gas tank and other damage.
Now we have a really good product under there, and as a father, I feel better for my kid.

Literally gave me a woody

Driveshaft has been great since installation on my 2001 Toyota 4Runner, been on about 2 weeks now. My only complaint is the poor packaging. For such an expensive part the shafts should come fully bubble wrapped to prevent any movement in the box. When my package arrived there was a hole in the box from where the shaft had been able to move during poor handling by the carrier and some of the paint was chipped. Who knows how hard it was smacked around on its way to me and could’ve been damaged in other instances…who knows. Other than that, cool piece to add to the rig nonetheless, ready for my Moab trip this March.

I followed the instructions on how to easily and correctly measure my old drive shaft and then placed my order online. In just a few days, the order arrived with good installation instructions and a new set of bolts and nuts for mounting, and it was fully greased. It bolted right up and is a perfect fit. No shaking, no vibrations, no clunking noises. I am very happy with the whole experience and the website made it really easy to identify what I needed and to place the order. It is always a pleasure to deal with competent people who obviously take pride in their work and value their customers. As you can probably tell, I am very impressed and satisfied with this purchase.

Shipping was ontime ( would have been here sooner, but mother nature decided to cover the midwest in snow). The craftmanship is top notch. The fit is perfect as well. No more vibration in my Gen III. Best part is when the u-joints fail way down the road it will be easily rebuildable!
